Community Broadcasts

Affordable Multi-Camera Productions crewed by your own community

Your Community Creates the Live Broadcast

At Pivot Productions, we’ve created a unique approach to multi-camera live broadcasting that blends professional expertise with people who are passionate about your event from your own community. This innovative model delivers high-quality multi-camera productions at a fraction of the cost of employing a full team of traditional broadcast professionals.

Our cost-efficient solution doesn’t compromise on quality- in fact, it is often surprisingly enhanced, by integrating individuals who are deeply knowledgeable about your event or sport that we broadcast live.

Our equipment is so intuitive to use, that your community will be amazed at what they can achieve in the briefest of training and guidance with us. Combining our expertise and equipment, with your community’s expertise and enthusiasm, ensures a polished broadcast product that appeals to your audience, because it is created by your own audience.

Expertly Managed Broadcasts for Minimal Expense

Every production is led by experienced professionals who install, then oversee all technical and creative aspects, ensuring seamless delivery to your online platform. Using advanced remotely controlled PTZ cameras and a fully equipped Outside Broadcast (OB) Van, we bring precision and creativity to every broadcast.

Your community of event enthusiasts; whether fans, participants, or passionate supporters; are guided into roles that suit their own skills and comfort zones, which might be operating cameras, operating instant replays, operating graphics or even being in full control of vision mixing. Their insight into your event often surpasses that of traditional broadcast professionals, enabling a production that resonates with your audience. Combining Pivot’s expert leadership, intuitive equipment, caring guidance and instant adaptability; this collaborative approach delivers high quality results, whilst significantly reducing the cost of the live broadcast production.

Our community based broadcast model is fully customisable, allowing for the integrated use of as many professional team members as you wish, alongside as many of your own community team members as you wish. Community engagement is fostered, budgets are aligned and the specific needs of your event are met.

Proven Community Broadcast Success Stories

Belsay Volunteer Team

Belsay International Horse Trials

Since 2002, Belsay Horse Trials has used the Pivot Productions Community Broadcast model to deliver a Live Stream Broadcast of the cross-country phase from their International Horse Trials to their FaceBook Page.

By combining a professional core team, with passionate event supporters recruited by the organisers, the event achieved exceptional multi-camera coverage at a significantly reduced cost.

The Event’s Community Volunteers commented:

Thanks for today, I really enjoyed being part of the team. I loved how everyone got so excited to capture the action” (Sue Brownbridge).

“That was a total hoot! Thanks for letting us play with your expensive equipment! Loved it” (Jenny Cochran).

 Burgham International Horse Trials

Building on the success at Belsay, Pivot Productions brought the same innovative Community Broadcast model to Burgham International Horse Trials in 2024 to live stream the cross-country phase.

The Clip My Horse Channel was so impressed with what was previously achieved at Belsay, that they added their support to the model by providing a professional commentator over the live stream and also hosting the broadcast on their channel.

Some of the volunteers who had previously worked on the Belsay Community Broadcast, eagerly returned and were joined by some brand new Burgham Eventing community volunteers, creating a strong team that produced a polished broadcast,.

Little Downham International Horse Trials

The Clip My Horse Channel was so impressed with what was achieved at Burgham, that they continued their support of the Pivot Productions Community Broadcast model by taking it to the Little Downham International Horse Trials, once again providing a team of professional commentators and hosting the stream on their channel.

A brand new team of volunteers from the Little Downham event community created the Live Stream of the Cross Country phase. The exceptional quality of the broadcast further validated Pivot’s expert mentorship and intuitively easy to use equipment.

FAQs

We work with organisers to recruit eager individuals who have a connection to your event or sport. These contributors just need a willingness to operate computer equipment, and are provided with hands-on training and guidance, enabling them to operate cameras, replay systems, graphics systems, or vision mixing with confidence. Their unique knowledge of the event adds depth to the production, as they intuitively know what they want to see.

You’ll need to recruit and coordinate people from your event’s community to crew the production. Our OB Van will need an electrical connection. We’d love to use your own internet connection, but this is not essential. Both the professional crew and your provided community will most likely need to be fed and watered! We’ll work with you every step of the way, guiding you through the whole process, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

Absolutely! From equestrian sports to motorsport events, live auctions, or festivals, our setup adapts to events of all sizes and complexities, delivering high quality live stream broadcasts at a fraction of the typical cost.
