Sam Kent was a well-known and respected figure across the business, rural and equestrian worlds, with family ties reaching as far as Australia and India. As his memorial service approached, it became clear that Notgrove’s small, centuries-old parish church — beautiful, but tiny, and with no internet connection of its own — could not come close to holding everyone who wanted to attend Sam’s memorial service.

Pivot supplied internet connectivity into the church from scratch, installed a PA system feeding directly into the broadcast camera, and ran the live stream onto overflow screens in the village hall and at the Nuttery, the café and bar where the wake was held — so the size of the congregation was never limited by the size of the church. With Sam’s strong ties overseas, the stream also reached family and friends across Australia and India in real time. During the reception, Pivot displayed a photo montage celebrating Sam’s life on the same screens.
